LAKE and POND

Admire it, set into a bed of pines, gorses, brooms and mimosas: a 2000 hectares open space of peace and quiet, sheltered from oceanic winds.
Two supervised beaches, and also small creeks, away from prying eyes and good places for dolce farniente.
The lake offers its made up spaces, easily accessible
for quietness-lovers.

Walking or cycling, you will follow the track meandering in the undergrowth, you will be charmed quickly by the beauty of the protected Cousseau pond nature reserve.

Far away from noise, you will be carried in an enchanting place, in the heart of a very diversified vegetation. In the course of a walk, fauna will appear to you, wild and free.

Sailing and windsurfing rule the lake. Water skiing has its own specific areas: a special space is reserved for high level competitions, and the lake privileges amateurs.

  Free visits with a naturalist guide are proposed by "Conseil
  Général de la Gironde", from June 15th to September 15th.

Swimming water quality.

The town has just acquired a "tiralo" (beach wheelchair) which is located on the beach of le Moutchic. This device allows disabled persons to have a swim.
